Care route notes

Weighing care routes when peptides are prescribed

Question chapter

Take questions to the visit.

Choose which questions to take to a health professional or care service. A tick means “I want to ask this.”

Begin with the health concern

[a]

Write down the concern you want help with, the steps you have already tried and what matters in daily life. Take a list of your medicines and any records you want to discuss.

In the Federation of State Medical Boards, the members are state boards that license doctors. It says picking a medicine from an online list is not enough for proper care.

Its advice calls for a health professional to assess your needs and let you ask your own questions.

That is advice from medical boards as of September 26, 2026; each state decides which rules apply to doctors there.

Choose your questions

When a specific product has FDA approval, the U.S. Food and Drug Administration has reviewed it for a named use.

Approval reflects evidence that the product works for that use and is safe enough for it.

Compounding means preparing a medicine to order.

Tick the questions you want to take.

The medicine
The pharmacy and the bill

How to use the answers

Write the answers beside your questions, including anything still unclear. Compare what each care route offers and what it leaves unanswered.

Keep this in mind

Use the list to start a conversation about your needs. Ask for an explanation when an answer is hard to follow.
